Detering is a useful option when picking a pumpkin is the main event. Its published pumpkin information distinguishes weekday walking visits from weekend wagon rides. That makes it easier to choose between a simpler stop and a longer October outing.
Thistledown combines a farmstand visit with seasonal pumpkin activities. At the October 4, 2026 review, its website advertised rides beginning October 3. Check the current ride schedule before leaving; the stand's daily opening hours do not establish when every activity operates.
You can consider both farms when planning a drive north of Eugene, but leave enough time for the first stop before adding another. Buying produce and choosing pumpkins often takes longer than a quick stop on a map suggests. Bring a box or washable liner for the trunk.
Johnson Farms and Northern Lights
Johnson Vegetable Farms is an option for visitors who want several activities at one location. Its current daytime program includes a hayride and corn maze. Ask which activities and pumpkin purchases are included in the ticket you select.
Johnson also advertises Nightfall in the Corn, an after-dark attraction with live actors. It has separate ticket and entrance instructions, including a Sprague Road entrance. Use the directions for your specific event rather than assuming the daytime farmstore address is the correct entrance for everything.
Northern Lights in Pleasant Hill publishes a Harvest Days program. Its 2026 season runs October 2–31, with hayride farm tours on weekends. Review the farm's current activity information for hours and charges. A visit for pumpkins and a visit for every attraction can have different costs.
A shorter pumpkin stop near Mount Pisgah
ME & Moore sells fall produce and pumpkins from its Seavey Loop farmstand. It can suit a shorter shopping stop, especially if you are already visiting the Mount Pisgah area.
The farm offers seasonal u-pick crops, but the crop list changes. Do not assume that pumpkins are available as a pick-your-own field activity or that the farm has a hayride. Its weekly harvest information is the best place to see what is ready.
