Yes, it snows in Eugene — and most winters it does not stick long on the valley floor. Some winters barely show. The University of Oregon weather page is blunt: significant snow more than twice in a season is unusual; some years have none. Ice on South Hills, Coburg Hills, and shady 97405 driveways is the real winter file. The City of Eugene publishes a winter storm response with on the order of 14 snowplows for the whole city — this is not Denver. Willamette Pass is the ski mountain, about an hour east, not a neighborhood. Valley floor versus the ridge
Downtown, Cal Young flats, Santa Clara, and much of Springfield shrug off a two-inch event. South Hills, parts of 97405, and Coburg Hills turn into a different commute. A pretty listing photo in August is the most expensive lie in this market.
Ski is a different URL
Willamette Pass is the mountain. Cougar / Terwilliger is a McKenzie soak whose winter road is not maintained. Neither is Eugene snow. If you need a ski-in identity, you are shopping the wrong city — or you are buying a house that can reach 58 on a Saturday.

A California couple loved a South Hills deck in August. We made them come back in January. They wrote Cal Young instead. The snow was not the surprise. The ice on the driveway was.
